Long before I dreamed of opening Grateful Pet, I decided to expand my education and pursue my master in business. I though it was the perfect complement to my chemistry degree to excel in the pharmaceutical industry. After testing the waters at a few different places, I happily landed at Jones International University to begin pursuing my Masters in Business Communication with a focus on project management.
It was perfect for me! The learning style matched my needs and perfectly complimented my desire to continue to learn and earn a degree while working. Admittedly, I was nervous about the return on my investment since the paradigm of an online education was new to me. But, I must say, I have been more than happy with how things worked out!
Since earning my degree from JIU, I’ve been able to advance my career in the pharmaceutical industry in many ways. But the real value has been the knowledge base it gave me when starting Grateful Pet.
A few weeks ago, I was honored when Diana and Melissa (whom was my academic advisor when I started attending JIU) contacted me about being featured on the school’s blog. We spent some time chatting about the business and the impact JIU has had on its success. You can read more about it on the JIU blog: Journey of an Entrepreneur.
